 The City of La Grange maintains a love/hate relationship with the legacy of the Chicken Ranch. While some residents are openly hostile toward any inquiry about the defunct brothel, others see it as a financial and publicity boon. The Chamber of Commerce obviously falls into the latter camp with a welcoming sign outside of town that plays on associations with the Broadway musical and film The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas.
